Arts900: Methods of Art Integration

This 10-week methods course provides classroom teachers and teaching artists with planning and assessment design skills to integrate the arts into K-12 content areas. Subjects such as environmental science and civics are addressed through an interdisciplinary approach using Junkanoo as a means of strengthening Bahamian student identity and creative thinking. Guest Speakers include Dr. Nicolette Bethel, Pamela Burnside, Dr. Nicholeen DeGrasse-Johnson, Arlene Nash Ferguson, Dr. Jacinta Higgs, Christian Justilien, Angelique McKay, Kishan Monroe, Terrence Saunders and others.
